Episode 209: Don’t Go Chasing Slaughter Balls

I must agree. Things (1989) ( https://moviesfilmsandflix.com/2015/09/30/johns-horror-corner-things-1989-bizarre-canuxploitation-mutant-monster-baby-horror-at-its-worst/ ) is bizarre Canuxploitation at its worst. I had read an Amazon review calling it “The Hope Diamond of bad movies.” As for Nightmare Weekend ( https://moviesfilmsandflix.com/2022/04/24/johns-horror-corner-nightmare-weekend-1986-a-wtf-b-horror-about-a-supercomputer-an-animated-hand-puppet-and-flying-murderballs/ ), there should be a subgenre called “WTF horror” for bad movies of this particular flavor. I enjoyed it (forcibly, I must admit) for its stupidity. Our reviews definitely agree in that this movie “sounds” a lot more interesting than it actually is with all its impotent execution.
