Yeah, Scream, Candyman, Halloween… I’m not fond of the lack of distinction either. Studios (I assume) just don’t want younger/newer potential viewers to feel like they need to know something about the franchise in order to enjoy the latest installment. That said, if we’re including Freddy vs Jason, then the next Friday the 13th movie had better be Part XIII! 😉
