Episode 108: It’s My Party, and I’ll Die if I Want to

Bret and David discuss a pair of remakes of late 50’s/early 60’s William Castle horror films: House on Haunted Hill (1999) and Thir13en Ghosts (2001).

They also announce a special giveaway. David obtained an original “Ghost Viewer/Ghost Remover,” which was given to theater-goers in 1960, during the release of 13 Ghosts. It could be yours! All you have to do is leave us a review on your favorite podcast platform, take a screenshot of it, and send it to us either via email or social media. The deadline to be eligible is October 15th, and the winner will be drawn/announced in Episode 112 (October 26th).

I really enjoyed the HoHH remake. Not a good “film” but a really fun movie. Between the opening rollercoaster scene and the dynamic between Rush and Famke, the first 20-30 minutes were just delicious.

Agreed. It’s not a good movie by any means, but it’s got a lot of fun moments.
