What an interesting episode. I loved the topic of collecting. I am an avid VHS collector, and some DVDs, (I am particular about which I consider collectible as I am sure most collectors are). I also still collect some CDs, and am always on the lookout for cassettes.
Recently, I purchased my first arcade machine!
So yeah, collecting is great fun, and also fills up the quote for nostalgia, which I feel plays the largest part for my collecting habit, personally.
As for the Collector movie…you guys summed it up nicely. Trash.
Sincerely,
A fellow collector.
Thanks! Which arcade game did you get? They’re addictive.
I bought a Jr. Pac-Man. It’s a conversion from a Super Pac-Man. It’s in decent shape, but does need some TLC. It appears to be very difficult to find graphics and the like for this particular machine, though. I am strongly considering converting it back to a Super and keeping the Jr. board close enough to where I could still play it when I want. =)
In the end, that’ll be cheaper than buying a Super Pac. Besides, I want to get something different when I decide to buy my 2nd machine.
Very cool! Jr. Pac and Super Pac are both awesome games, so no matter what you decide: you win.
