Bret, David, and Alan create a beer broth, break out a crock pot, and feast upon three cannibal-themed films: Cannibal Holocaust (1980), The Green Inferno (2015), and Bone Tomahawk (2015). If you’re squeamish – no worries: this episode features no video. So lend a hand and start chopping up some carrots, would’ya?

Cannibal films never really appealed to me much, but hearing the Swearwolves talk about it does. I’ve not seen Green Inferno, (not an Eli Roth fan), and I barely remember Cannibal Holocaust, but I’ve never heard of Bone of the Tomahawk. It sounds really good, with a good cast, to boot! I mean…Kurt Russell. ’nuff said.
Sincerely,
A meat eating non-cannibal
Thanks for checking out the episode! We’re not really cannibal film fans either, but yeah, Bone Tomahawk is definitely worth checking out. We’ve had a few people tell us that they gave it a watch and really enjoyed it.
I must agree that aspects of the making of Cannibal Holocaust make it despicable. But I felt the movie sent a powerful message and, yes, pioneering the found footage notion as well. As for Bone Tomahawk, I LOVE that one of you gave this a perfect score. It’s not my favorite movie, nor near, but I really appreciate the limits it pushes. Great episode. (I’ve been working my way through your back catalog)
